Chickweed, Common

Common chickweed is a mat-forming winter annual but may occur as a short-lived perennial. Leaves are opposite, egg or oval shaped, and sparsely hairy. It flowers in spring and early summer with small, white clusters that have five petals.

Your lawn can be treated to remove chickweed during the growing season. The best way to prevent weeds is to have a strong healthy lawn by using a good fertility program and aeration.
