The transition from seed to grass is entirely dependent upon whether or not the seed leaf can make it to the surface and start collecting sunlight. This cannot happen if it doesn’t have plenty of water, and the seed doesn’t have a root system to help out. So if you have seeded areas in your lawn, try to keep them wet every day.
