What type of grasses should you plant, and where? In the Turfgrass industry, we divide the country roughly into 3 zones; Cool season, Warm season, and Transition. We are in the cool season zone, so we plant cool season grasses. But when the weather starts exceeding 85 degrees regularly, the cool season grasses just can’t handle it.
